Sugatsune UK is delighted to announce its membership of the National Association of Shopfitters (NAS), the professional association for shopfitters, fit-out and interior contractors. Sugatsune joins as an Associate Member, a tier reserved for suppliers to the industry.
Membership of the NAS will help us to further strengthen our ties with a sector that has become one of our most important markets. We manufacture an extensive range of products suitable for retail and commercial interiors, and over the years have built a growing portfolio of solutions developed specifically for the shopfitting industry.
Many of these have proven to be big hits in Japan, helping to establish the Sugatsune brand as the country’s most trusted supplier of retail interior components. At Sugatsune UK, we take great pride in bringing these innovative solutions to the UK market and look forward to helping more and more shopfitters up and down the country take full advantage of Japanese design expertise.
Some of the solutions we’ll be showcasing to NAS members include our premium showcase hardware ranges. For example, the Sugatsune GS-G series offers a complete solution for all glass display installations, from small cases to full-length cabinets. A choice of premium finishes in chrome, gold or black provides a simple, elegant and consistent aesthetic across hinges, mounting brackets, locks and more, all with a slimline, flush-to-the-surface profile.
What is more, all components are designed for easy installation. Including hinges. Hanging a glass cabinet door with GS series hinges is a one-person job. It’s as simple as clipping the hinge to the bracket. Then you can adjust the door position horizontally and vertically using an adjustment screw and washers.
And to cap it off, the GS-G series includes options for lock systems that require just a single key for multiple locks. In settings like retail where the demands of security have to be balanced with the need for quick, simple access, Total Lock solutions provide convenience and reliability rolled into one.
Another popular solution among shopfitters is our counter flap stays fitted with soft close, free stop and list assist technology. Soft close dampers are something of a speciality of Sugatsune’s. Our patented Lapcon adjustable rotary damper provides premium soft close control to a large selection of products. But nowhere is the need for soft close control more important than on lids and counter flaps, given the risk of injury and damage posed by flaps slamming shut.
Our ‘soft down’ cabinet stays make use of the Lapcon damper to provide smooth, controlled closing motion for lighter lids, adjustable to suit different sizes and weights. For heavier counter flaps, LAD dampers can control larger loads and can be retrofitted to units without having to replace existing hinges. We also have stays fitted with lift assist springs to make opening that much easier. And free stop torque mechanisms that hold flaps in any open position.
